Al-Taza Shawarma Spot Review: During my recent visit to Kochi Edappally, I came across a shawarma spot that was highly recommended by local people – Al-Taza. As someone who loves trying out different types of shawarmas, I decided to check out this spot and share my genuine review with you.
Al-Taza Shawarma Spot Review
Location:
Al-Taza is located at a very convenient location – Opposite LULU Shopping Mall Inside Indian Oil Petrol Pump Metro pillar number P, 397, NH 47, Edappally, Kerala 682024. It’s easy to spot as it’s located opposite Lulu Mall. You can find the exact location by clicking the URL mentioned below. There is limited parking available for free of cost.
Ambience:
The ambience of this spot is very calm and composed. It’s maintained very clean and organized. The seating looks composed and comfortable. The spot is located on the first floor of the building so be careful while walking up the dark steel stairs. There is a very huge space where you can enjoy the evening with family and friends, and also with kids. However, there are no restroom facilities available. I appreciate the clean ambience over here. The full space is covered with AC.
Service:
They have a wide range of menu items, especially with Shawarma. The service person looked clean and hygienic. However, they didn’t explain the menu well. The items they served with different types of wooden plates gave a unique experience. But I did feel a delay in their service. They took a minimum of 30 minutes to serve the order that we had placed. As they mentioned about their food spot, they specialize in shawarma. However, taking this much time to prepare is not acceptable.
Food and Taste:
As per their variety of menus, we ordered the Special Burger Shawarma, Shawarma Pizza, and Mint Lime. I planned to try different types of shawarma so I ordered different things. They took a minimum of 30 minutes to serve the items on the table.
Burger Shawarma:
I ordered the Burger Shawarma, which is mentioned differently in their menu. They stuffed shawarma into the burger, which was served well heat and added burger items into that. This was a different type of shawarma that I had experienced for the first time, and the taste was so delicious. Simply put, I loved this Burger shawarma that they served. I recommend this shawarma at this place as it has a unique shawarma taste in which they added well-cooked chicken and a valuable amount of mionies.
Pizza Shawarma:
As I had planned to try a different type of shawarma, I also ordered the Shawarma Pizza. However, it was a different story altogether. The chicken shawarma pizza looked like basic pizza, which is available in other shops. It looked like an ordinary pizza, not a shawarma pizza. Compared to the Shawarma Burger, this dish disappointed me. The Mint Lime looked ordinary. They added extra sugar in this which did not impress me much either. I paid around 740 rupees at this spot, and I felt the dish was not worth this amount. I will recommend this spot to try a shawarma, but not different types of shawarma. If you want to have fun with your friends in the evening, you can visit this place.
Overall – Al-Taza Shawarma Spot Review
Al-Taza Shawarma Spot is located at a prime place, and it’s a highly recommended space to enjoy the evening with friends and family. The ambience is well-maintained, and they offer a different variety of shawarmas. I suggest you have a nice shawarma over here. However, I would like to suggest that the restaurant justifies the dish names with the making of the dish as the Shawarma Pizza was not up to the mark. The cost is too high at this spot, and you should keep that in mind. If you are in Kochi and want to enjoy different types of shawarma, you can consider this spot to get more hygienic shawarma.
