The 81st Golden Globes kicked off the Hollywood award season this year, and Oppenheimer and Succession were the big winners of the night. Oppenheimer won five awards out of eight nominations, including Best Film (Drama), Best Director, Best Film Actor (Drama), and Best Supporting Actor (Film). RDJ won the Best Supporting Actor award for his role in Oppenheimer, beating Ryan Gosling, who played Ken in Barbie. Poor Things won the Best Film (Musical/Comedy) award, and Emma Stone won Best Film Actress (Musical/Comedy). The Holdovers, Lily Gladstone, and Da’Vine Randolph won awards for their performances in their respective categories.

Beef won Best Limited Series, Anthology, or TV Movie, and Ali Wong and Steven Yeun won Best Actress and Best Actor for their roles in the series.
