Haji Makaan Restaurant Review: Edapally Kochi Kerala 

I recently visited Haji Makaan Restaurant for breakfast and tried their Appam with Egg Curry. In this article, I will share my experience and food review of the restaurant.

Location:

Haji Makaan Restaurant is located near Lulumall at Edapally on the right side of NH66. The restaurant’s address is NH 66, Nethaji Nagar, Edappally, Kochi, Ernakulam, Kerala 682025. Parking:

There is limited parking available for both two-wheelers and four-wheelers, so keep that in mind when you visit.

Working Hours:

Haji Makaan Restaurant is open 24 hours, every day of the week. However, it is better to check their Google My Business listing for live updates before visiting.

Atmosphere:

The seating area is spacious and well-arranged with both AC and non-AC cabins available for dining. Restroom facilities are also provided. However, the place needs to be cleaned regularly, and during my visit, it was not up to the mark. The seating area was also too hot, so I would rate the atmosphere as 3 stars.

Service:

The service was disappointing. I visited the restaurant for breakfast, and there weren’t many customers. Yet, the service was poor. The service person lacked proper hygiene items such as gloves or a hair mask. Additionally, the restaurant didn’t have many breakfast items on the menu. The service was slow, and they offered water with an unhygienic jug. The service resembled that of a motel, not a restaurant. Therefore, I would give the service 2 stars.

Food and Taste:

I ordered Appam with Egg Curry and Pomegranate Juice for breakfast. However, the restaurant only had Appam and Parrota on their breakfast menu. The food and water were served on unpresentable plates, which was disappointing. The Appam wasn’t heated enough, and some areas were not cooked well. The Egg Curry was served with a minimum number of eggs, and it wasn’t heated enough either. The Pomegranate Juice was basic and not impressive. Overall, I would rate the food 3 stars.

Overall Review:

The restaurant is not impressive for dining with friends and family. The restaurant doesn’t have a wide variety of menus and looks more like a motel. The quality of service and food is not recommendable for families. Additionally, the atmosphere is not presentable. I paid Rs. 230 for my breakfast, which is too expensive for the unappetizing food served. Therefore, I would give the restaurant 3 stars for overall service.
