I had a frightening experience with the lunch I had at Thaal Family Restaurant in Edappally Kochi. Even a simple dish was served carelessly. In this article, I will detail my unpleasant experience with the food at Thaal Family Restaurant in Edappally Kochi.

Located

The Thaal Family Restaurant can be found at 28F6+7HF, Market Rd, Marottichuvadu, Edappally, Ernakulam, Kerala 682024. Unfortunately, there isn’t much parking available at the location. The space provided is suitable for two-wheelers, but it can be challenging to find parking for larger vehicles.

Atmosphere

The environment was uncomfortably warm and cramped for dining with family. It was not a pleasant or hygienic setting, and would not entice one to eat more. Individuals with breathing difficulties should be considered carefully before visiting this location.

Service

I experienced slow service due to a large crowd and the service executives were not very friendly. Additionally, the food took a long time to be prepared, causing wait times for take-out customers to be particularly lengthy. Overall, I would rate the service a 2 out of 5.

Food and Taste

I ordered some simple dishes, such as butter chicken and lemon soda. However, I was not prepared for the impact these dishes would have on me before I even tasted them. The parrot dish had a mild flavour and was not heated enough. The butter chicken was extremely salty and oily, and to my surprise, I noticed chicken blood in some of the pieces. This made me feel uncomfortable and uneasy.

When I saw the blood in the chicken, I couldn’t bring myself to eat anything from there. Additionally, I noticed a fly in my lemon soda, which further added to my concerns. I made a complaint about this issue at the restaurant, but unfortunately, my experience at Thaal Family Restaurant was not satisfactory.

Thaal Family Restaurant is not on my impressive Restaurants list because health is more important than taste.

Cost

I paid around RS – 230 for that. Although the cost was good for the quantity, the service and hygiene need improvement.
