Lyca Productions has finally put an end to the long-standing curiosity surrounding Rajinikanth’s upcoming movie, Thalaivar 170, by revealing the official title as ‘Vettaiyan.’ The title teaser, released on Tuesday, coincided with the legendary actor’s 73rd birthday. The teaser has left the audience excited and eagerly awaiting the movie’s release.
Directed by TJ Gnanavel, the movie is expected to be a social drama that caters to the expectations of the superstar’s fans. According to reports, Rajinikanth will be portraying the role of a police officer who finds himself amidst a controversy following a fabricated encounter, inspired by a real-life event.
The title teaser begins with Rajinikanth engrossed in a book about Netaji Subash Chandra Bose. Accompanying the legendary ‘Super Star Rajini’ introduction card is a fresh soundtrack composed by music director Anirudh Ravichander. The teaser then proceeds to show the iconic actor, sporting a captivating clip-on sunglass and brandishing a gun, delivering his famous dialogue, “When the hunt begins, the prey must surrender.”
The star-studded cast of Vettaiyan includes Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan, GM Sundar, Rohini, Rao Ramesh, Ramesh Thilak, and Rakshan. The cinematography of the movie is handled by SR Kathir, while Philomin Raj takes charge of editing. The movie is produced by Subaskaran under the banner of Lyca Productions.
