I have been tempted by many Instagram videos showcasing Fort Kochi Kerala as the top tourist spot in the region. So, I decided to visit it with my friends. In this article, I will share my experience and reveal the reality of Fort Kochi Kerala.
Fort Kochi has a rich history, but it has now become famous as a tourist destination. During my visit, I discovered why this place is so popular.
We arrived at 3:30 p.m. and began walking around Fort Kochi. The entire walk was filled with breathtaking views that left us feeling rejuvenated. However, it’s important to bring a cap to protect yourself from birds that are full and resting on nearby trees. You can easily purchase a cap from roadside shops for just 150 rupees.
Exploring Fort Kochi Kerala
Fort Kochi offers a variety of fishing methods to explore, including local fishermen using nets and bamboo fishing nets. One of the traditional methods of fishing in Kerala, the bamboo fishing nets are a must-see in Fort Kochi. Additionally, we can witness the fishermen throwing their nets into the water, waiting for the perfect catch, and even bait fishing.
For seafood lovers, there are budget-friendly options to enjoy fresh seafood. We can observe how they prepare fish, prawns, crab, lobster, and other delicacies. The view from Fort Kochi is another attraction, with 180-degree views of the sea, fishing bamboo, and yard, making it a picture-perfect spot.
The big ship that ships containers internationally is another fantastic sight to see up close. It’s a unique experience, especially for kids.
Street-side shops offer tasty snacks like salt-tipped water mango, gooseberry, and pineapple, along with various other snacks. The shops also offer crafted items, including sea-based crafted items like dreamcatchers, which are highly demanded in the area. It’s best to visit at night.
Fort Kochi is an ideal spot for taking breathtaking photos and videos. It’s a recommended place to spend time with family and kids. Overall, I loved this place and consider it a completely relaxing spot in Kerala.
