The movie King of Kotha was released in multiple languages with high expectations, but it appears that there may be some issues with it, as there are a variety of mixed reviews. In this article, I will be sharing my review of the KOK. KOK online Movie Review
Story Line
Kotha is known for its high crime rate, largely due to the notorious villain Kannan Bhai who operates within the area. Despite the efforts of a police officer to turn the area into a safer place, crime continued to persist. However, the officer eventually discovered the history of Kotha, specifically the identity of its former king.
This serves as the main plot of the movie “King of Kotha,” but the storyline is relatively unremarkable, as it follows the common hero-versus-villain trope seen in many other movies.
Screenplay
The screenplay was not as impressive as the storyline. The director failed to present the best screenplay and as a result, most of the audience found it slow and predictable, causing some to even fall asleep. The screenplay focused too much on evaluating Dulkar Salman, which was not impressive from the audience’s point of view. As a result, the screenplay received a rating of 1/5.
Acting
The casting was impressive, with each actor giving their best performance. However, despite Dulkar Salman’s attempt to salvage the film with his acting skills, the screenplay hindered his efforts.
The music and background music (BGM) were excellent and attempted to captivate the audience, but unfortunately, the screenplay became tiresome after a while.
Overall Review of King of Kotha – KOK online Movie Review
There were high hopes for this movie upon release, but unfortunately, it fell short. The storyline was old and the screenplay was unimpressive. Although the director attempted to add depth to the plot, it did not work well with this particular screenplay. Nowadays, viewers prefer faster-paced movies with more substance, especially those set in a university setting.
Even though the storyline might be outdated, it is not a major issue as long as the screenplay is strong enough to compensate. Unfortunately, in this particular movie, neither the storyline nor the screenplay manages to impress. Rather than relying on excessive violence, the screenplay should focus on developing the depth of the story.
It is advised to avoid watching this movie with kids due to its violent content. However, if you have a lot of patience, you may enjoy watching it at the theatre. This movie is not recommended for family audiences and children. It is not worth your time and money to watch it in the theatre. Please feel free to share your reviews in the comment section.
